The Schoolteacher's Visitor tells the story of Ines, a retired schoolteacher who runs the first hotel in the community, Agua Santa. Her child had recently been slain and his killer had fled. Years later on the murderer returns. Ines kills him and confesses to her best friend Riad Halabi. They bury the body plus the whole community help to keep that a key. It is set in Latin America. The town is usually described as being quiet, unadventurous and cut off from the popular of activity; an 'insignificant backwater'. The city is portrayed as being friendly, characters 'waving, as usual. ' The climate is warm as 'the hour of the mosquitoes' can be mentioned inside the story and mosquitoes happen to be limited to warm climates. All of us also are told it is 'on the edge from the jungle. ' The community with this story is extremely close and in addition they look out for each other.
