Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the Associated with the U. S. Battles The author of The Things That they Carried, Bernard O'Brien, incorporates various text messages within his book. The series of reports within The Issues They Taken present all of us with the hard choices pressured upon individuals who have dealt with the conflicts of combat (Chen). O'Brien's stories also reveal that a battle is never truly over; a lot of soldiers who have survive a war need to often face the damaging repercussions of warfare after it has finished. Consequently, the message being presented in The Things They will Carried by Bernard O'Brien may be the notion that war has the power to transform persons, altering and skewing their particular mental claims, their concepts, and their feeling of morality by stripping human beings with their humanity, and in turn replacing this with fear and shock.  In the first section of the book, " Those things They Transported, ” the narrator presents descriptions in the kind of items these military carry plus the kind of persons they were prior to the war—this is very true to get Lieutenant Jimmy Cross. The boys carry physical burdens of diverse character; some of the things they bring largely rely upon necessity and priority. All of them carry psychological baggage along with their own spirits.
